Driverless cars are already here, but there are many issues that should be considered before they are licensed for general use on public roads. How much evidence would be enough to show that they were at least as safe as human drivers? Should the car be programmed to protect the passengers above other road users? Would it be safe and practical for many cars to be autonomous and many still driven by people? Could this be the end of private ownership of cars? What about cybersecurity?

Lecture Date: Tuesday, 24th October 2017 – 6:00pm at The Museum of London, 150 London Wall, London, EC2Y 5HN
